Chattahoochee Nature Center

Enchanted Woodland Trail: Featuring Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes

From December 9th-February 28th you can walk along an enchanted woodlands trail at the Chattahoochee Nature Center with hidden fairy and gnome houses! Take a lovely walk through the nature center and see how many tiny houses you can spot. This would be fun with a significant other, a few friends, or the whole family!

Art Show & Sale

Visit the Roswell Fine Arts Alliance’s Gallery on Fouts Road Fridays from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM to enjoy art pieces from locals including oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolors, collages, and mixed media. There are even small pieces at reasonable prices. You might even be able to find some last-minute gifts for holiday presents, or you can just enjoy the scenery!

Smith Plantation Historic House Museum

Roswell Garden Club “Oh Christmas Tree”

For the 10th year, the Roswell Garden Club will decorate the 1845 Smith Plantation historic house museum for Christmas on December 21st. Each of the nine rooms and hallways in the home will have a unique tree and other holiday decorations to admire. The cost of a tour is  $8 adults, $7 seniors 65 and over, $6 children ages 6 to 18. Children under age 6 free. Tour times are Monday-Saturday starting at the top of the hour from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM and Sundays from 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM

Roswell Christmas Railway

The Roswell Christmas Railway is an annual sensation! Featuring a laser light tunnel, candyland, the Roswell Rocket, the Nativity Scene, and  Zoo Lights, this train ride will take you to see just about anything in the North Pole you could hope for. There is also a Polar zone with dancing polar bears, Christmas fairies, and a build your own polar bear pal activity. There’s so much to do, like drinking hot chocolate elixirs, visiting Santa’s square or Santa’s toy train workshop, watching a film at the theatre, and exploring the little Christmas village. If you get all holiday-ed out, you can also see works of art from local artists! There are also 3 holiday-themed places to get food and drinks: Mrs. Klaus’s Kitchen, The Holiday Bowl (with a live entertainment tent!) and the chocolate bar. This event goes through December 30th and allows children under 2 in for free! Kids under 18 are only $8 and adults are $12.

Also, a good old fashioned day at the movies or some holiday baking at home can’t be overlooked!
